Guidelines for Work Session & Reflection on Work Session
One
class session will be dedicated to a work session utilizing NDNU’s library,
writing center or other success resources, such as the counseling center,
career center, center for spirituality, etc. Students may spend part of their
work session meeting as a student study group.
The
work session replaces an entire class meeting, minus the holiday time off. This
equates to approximately 3 hours of time and students should plan their
activities so as to spend approximately 3 hours taking best advantage of campus
resources to improve their success in the class. This may involve more than one
campus resource. If it is not possible to utilize a success resource in person,
students may conduct some or all of the work session via phone or internet.
Upon
completion of the work session, please write a 2-3 page reflection outlining
which resource(s) you used and describing how this did / did not help improve
your success in the course this summer. You do not need to share personal
details in this reflection.
